Came to SSU in 1970 from Alaska Methodist University, Anchorage. Previously employed by General Precision Laboratory, IBM Yorktown Heights, and Lawrence Livermore Lab. 1982 recap.  Rick married Chuna McIntyre.  They have no children.  Spent a sabbatical in Africa in 1980 and has had numerous publications in mathematics.  Interest include economics, finance, investment, real estate.  Rick has a California Real Estate license and founded a R.E. school in 1979.  Interests also include piano, dance, ethnic (particularly Eskimo), writing, birds (raised swans, pheasants, etc), tennis, skiing.
