Thomas Gilburg

Currently Tom is retired. He and Jo enjoy traveling and seeing their children, grandchildren and friends. In October ’06 Tom went on a 2 week elk hunting trip to Colorado, hiking in 2 feet of snow to shoot a bull, cow elk, and a Muhl deer buck. “The snow helped bring them down from the high ground” Tom said.

1997 recap. Tom has been at F&M for 22 years. His son Andy now plays football for him. Tom likes golf, hunting, traveling the USA. Don Hess (HGHS football coach in '57) has been one of his assistant coaches since '87.

1982 recap. Tom is married to JoAnne and they have 5 children, Scot, Bryan, Jennifer, Stacy, and Andy.  Tom is Football Coach at Franklin & Marshall College and JoAnne is a P/T nurse at F&M. Tom studied at Syracuse U and played football for the Baltimore Colts for 5 yrs. He then coached football & lacrosse at Hofstra U for 5 yrs and Lehigh U for 4 yrs. He has been at F&M for 7 yrs. They have lived in Lancaster, PA, Hicksville, NY and Center Valley, PA. Tom saw Bigs & Judy Smith on their trip East and sees Brian O’Neill about every 10 yrs. He wonders whether Mygatt or O’Neill has more hair.
