Jane (Henzel) Kett

Dick and I celebrate our 45th anniversary this yr. He’s retired, but I’m in my 27th yr working at the Women’s Center at Wellesley College. Daughter, Lisa (43) and husband, (Zach), live nearby and have 3 children (10, 7, 3) between them. Dick and I sit twice/week enabling us to see those grandchildren often. Son, David, (40) lives in St Paul, MN. Visit with his family (wife Beth and 2 children (12 & 10) 3 or 4 times a yr either in MA or MN. Was out in MN in Feb and shattered my kneecap ice skating. It is not totally mended yet but getting close. Also have a stepdaughter, Jacqui, (48) living in Miami.

Traveled to France and Scandinavia in recent years and will take a trip up the Danube from Budapest to Vienna this winter. Our son is thrilled as he spent a semester in Budapest. Being a New Englander has great benefits. We junket to all the NE states often (my brother lives in CT) as well as the Berkshires, The Cape and The Vineyard.

Living close to Boston is wonderful. Attend the opera and symphony regularly and are avid (that puts it mildly) members of “Red Sox Nation.” Swimming, playing golf (the college has a beautiful 9-hole course) and enjoying many perks (movies, concerts, lectures) that working at Wellesley make possible keep us busy. For 25 yrs. I’ve been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society driving patients into Boston for treatment.

Nona Figgatt Emory and I talk and recently Susie Kreisler Appel and I had a fun lunch. Can’t wait to see everyone at Reunion!

1997 recap. Jane still works for the Center for Research on Women at Wellesley College (17 years). She is active in Wheaton College Alumnae Affairs, is a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society, and is into Labrador Retriever groups.

1982 recap. Jane and husband Richard have 2 children, Lisa and David. Jane spent 3 months in Europe, attending Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School, and worked as an editorial secretary for an educational publishing company. Currently Jane is Direct Mail Manager for the Women’s Research Center, Wellesley College and also runs a small catering service. Richard works for the Pittsburgh – Des Moines Steel Corp. They have lived in Wellesley for 18 yrs. Jane enjoys swimming, tennis (year round), bridge, water skiing, canoeing (they have just bought their own canoe).
